Hawksmoor House is the realised vision of four people: Mark, a property investor and wine lover; Simon, an antiques dealer with an incredible interior design style and a talent for preparing and hosting lavish dinner parties; Jonathan, a wildlife and adventure enthusiast with a corporate background in strategy and finance; and Maike, a travel trends and networking professional with a marketing and hotel management past. All of us share a passion for South Africa and a love of "the good things in life": understated luxury and tons of friends to enjoy it with. We are assisted by two lovely ladies, Dolly and Eshmarelda who will look after you during your stay.

When we created Hawksmoor House, we did not want yet another polished hotel but rather a country estate with a distinct home feel, where you can take your shoes off, let your hair down and unwind with a drink or two. Here you can walk into the kitchen and make yourself a cup of tea at any time of the day or cook up a feast for your friends after a stroll on the market. It's a serene place to relax, take it slow and catch up on sleep. Have a swim, taste some wine, listen to jazz in front of the fireplace...
