Daantjie

The house was erected in 1924 and was turned into a guest house 70 years later, in 1994. The last person to live in the house was Mrs. Joey Lubbe. When she passed away, her son Gert, the then owner of De Ouwe Werf Herberg (Inn), converted the building into a guest house in order to increase his accommodation capacity. In loving memory of his mother, who incidentally was also very fond of the Just Joey rose, Gert then decided to name the guest house after her and the beautiful rose.
