Plumwood Inn Guest House

DIRECTIONS FROM CAPE TOWN CITY CENTRE (about 1 hour's drive)

- Take the N1 expressway towards Paarl;
- Drive a fairly long way until you get to exit 47 where sign says R44/R103 Stellenbosch, Klapmuts, Wellington;
- Turn right at the t-junction.
- Fairly soon come to a 4-way stop. Cross over and shortly thereafter you will see a sign to the left saying Franschhoek, R45.
- Continue for about 9 km, passing Glen Carlou and Backsberg until you reach a T-junction.
- Turn right and keep driving until you find yourself in the town of Franschhoek.
- Drive through Franschhoek until almost to the end of town;
- Turn right where you see the sign Plumwood Inn. This is Berg Street.
- Continue down Berg Street until you get to a Cabriere Street, which is 2 blocks down, then turn right.
- We are the 4^th House on the right hand side.

FROM THE AIRPORT

- Go on the N2 towards Somerset West, and get off at exit 22a towards Bellville. This is the R300.
- Stay on the R300 until you see: Paarl/Worcester N1.
- Go on the N1.
- Get off the N1 at exit 47, which says Klapmuts/Stellenbosch/Wellington
- Go to the right towards R44 (300 meters) and cross the first crossing.
- Turn to the left after 300 metres where you see the sign Franschhoek R45, and also the wineries Glen Carlou and Backsberg. Follow this road, it will take you about 8 minutes. At the end, after you have crossed a railway line, you go to the right towards Franschhoek (R45).
- Now you just follow the road for about 12 minutes until you enter Franschhoek.
- Entering Franschhoek via the R45 (Huguenot Road), you should stay on this road until you see the blue sign "Plumwood Inn" almost at the end on your right. This is Bergstreet. At the end, you see another sign, and you turn into Cabriere Street, which is a dirt road.
- We are the 4th house on the right.
