Western Cape & Oyster Trail Experience 2
Your experience will start with 4 days of tours based from Franschhoek, the Gourmet Capital of South Africa. These first few days will expose you to the Fynbos ecosystem of the Western Cape. This will be followed by 11 days of walks and lectures from FGASA specialist lecturers where your knowledge of the Western Cape environment, and the Oyster trail in particular, will be enhanced. Following this you will then have a further 6 days travel through the Western Cape and Karoo.
4 days Franschhoek based tours.
11 Days Oyster Catcher Trail Marine ebvironmental workshop.
6 days Traveling through the Western Cape & Karoo.
Participant guidelines
Weather along the South Coast in August can still be cool and rainy. In addition expect some warm spring days too. Please vivt the FGASA web site for full details.
Footwear.
For the hike you need good worn-in hiking boots with hiking socks. Non-slip strops for working on the rocky shores.
